Tow Truck Significantly Injures Egg Harbor Township, NJ Teenager
An Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey teenager has suffered traumatic injuries as a result of being hit by a tow truck driver.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has released the following about this significant crash:
A 2021 Ford Tow Truck, being operated by Francis Kelly (44 year old male from Atlantic City), was traveling north on Ocean Heights Avenue, south of Blackman Road when the truck struck a 15 year old who was riding a bicycle northbound. The teenager suffered traumatic injuries as a result of the crash, said the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
The teenager was treated by Egg Harbor Township EMS and AtlantiCare ALS.
Because of incurring significant injuries, The teenager was airlifted to Cooper Hospital due to her significant injuries.
This crash is being investigated by Egg Harbor Township Police Officer Thomas Rizzotte and Sergeant Ed Stearns of the Traffic Safety Unit.
Traffic in the crash area was detoured for about 1 1/2 hours while the scene was being investigated and cleared.
