Unemployment Has Quadrupled the Previous All-time High

Tens of thousands of Atlantic City casino employees and thousands of other New Jersey employees in various industries have been furloughed.

There is an immediate need for a financial backstop, until our nation can return to business as usual.

Benefits are available. Those who need to apply for unemployment benefits are being asked to do so online.

The President and United States Congress are directly addressing the unprecedented nature of the Coronavirus health crisis.

In addition to normal unemployment benefits, each recipient is slated to be eligible to receive an additional $ 600 per-week for up to four months.

The Senate has approved the $ 2 trillion Coronavirus relief bill. The House of Representatives will be heard from tomorrow by voice vote at 9:00 a.m.

President Donald Trump has already announced that he will sign it immediately.

The latest unemployment numbers were just released. A never-before-seen staggering 3.28 million Americans have applied for benefits. This is quadruple the previous high that occurred in 1982, during a deep recession.
