
Busy March: 30 arrested, including 4 teens, in Ventnor, NJ
Even during the off-season, when tourists are only dreaming about spending the summer down the shore, police officers are still busy keeping the streets of South Jersey safe.

Busy March for cops in Ventnor City, NJ
During March, officers with the Ventnor Police Department were on their toes, answering 1,250 calls for service in the two-square-mile town.
Of those calls, 19 were for domestic violence, there were two vehicle burglaries (800 block of Dorset Avenue and the unit block of Hillside Avenue), two other burglaries (6200 and 6600 blocks of Ventnor Avenue), and 13 traffic accidents.
30 people also found themselves wearing handcuffs for various crimes. Here are some of the arrests made in Ventnor last month.
March arrests in Ventnor, NJ
- March 1 — 28-year-old man from Atlantic City was charged with two counts of simple assault
- March 1 — 49-year-old woman from Atlantic City was charged with shoplifting
- March 2 — 23-year-old woman from Galloway Twp. was charged with simple assault
- March 5 — 18-year-old man from Atlantic City was charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, and criminal mischief in connection to an incident in January
- March 6 — 77-year-old man from Egg Harbor Twp. was charged with criminal mischief
- March 6 — 18-year-old man from Brick was charged with possession of weapons for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of weapons, and terroristic threats
- March 8 — 15-year-old male from Philadelphia was charged with burglary and theft
- March 8 — 14-year-old male from Philadelphia was charged with burglary and theft
- March 8 — 34-year-old man from Ventnor was charged with simple assault
- March 8 — 38-year-old man from Ventnor was charged with hindering
- March 9 — 48-year-old woman from Portland, OR, was charged with arson
- March 15 — 60-year-old man from Atlantic City was charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia
- March 19 — 29-year-old man from Atlantic City was charged with aggravated assault
- March 20 — 61-year-old man from Atlantic City was charged with shoplifting, obstruction, and possession of drug paraphernalia
- March 21 — 27-year-old woman from Atlantic City was charged with shoplifting
- March 21 — 24-year-old man from Ventnor was charged with shoplifting
- March 22 — 24-year-old man from Ventnor was charged with DWI
- March 22 — 57-year-old man from Atlantic City was charged with DWI
- March 22 — 56-year-old woman from Atlantic City was charged with shoplifting
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
