Congratulations To This Gutsy Atlantic County, NJ Cast & Crew [Photos]

A Stubborn virus hit the cast and crew of Scrooge The Musical (Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point, New Jersey) at the worst possible time … just as their live performance schedule was about to begin.

The Show Must Go On

To their credit, despite the nasty virus, the talented cast and crew have gutted-out 5 tremendous performances.

Only one performance was postponed … a Sunday, December 7, 2025, 2:00 p.m. matinee show.

However, the cast and crew all agreed to comeback on Sunday, December 21, 2025 for a make-up show.

NOTE: This particular virus is one that goes right to the throat and vocal cords, accompanied by a fever for good measure, too.

The Crowds Have Been Great

Every show has been sold-out and this cast and crew deserves it. The crowds have been enthusiastic and supportive throughout.

Even Snow Didn’t Stop Them

The unbreakable and unstoppable cast and crew would not be denied. Yesterday’s 2:00 p.m. matinee show went on as scheduled, despite the snow that fell upon the region.

Scrooge & Young Adult Scrooge Battled The Virus

Along with many other fellow cast and crew. No one complained … they just continued to show-up and put on great performances.

The Gateway Playhouse felt somewhat like a petri dish, but, that didn’t stop the cast, crew and attendees from enjoying everything that is great about local theatre.

The Gateway Playhouse Is A Great Local Treasure

We are so very fortunate to have such great local theatre here in Somers Point, Atlantic County, New Jersey.
