Visit Atlantic City, NJ, Will Have New President & CEO
Larry Sieg will be retiring (by January, 2025), as President and Chief Executive Officer of Visit Atlantic City.
Visit Atlantic City is the official agency responsible to book meetings and conventions in Atlantic City … coupled with their direct association with the sports commission and film commission.
Sieg officially became President of then MEET AC on July 13, 2020.
Sieg has had a more than 4-year successful run, during which time Visit Atlantic City generated a record number of conventions held in Atlantic City.
We have also confirmed that Gary Musich will become the new President and Chief Executive Officer upon Sieg’s departure.
Musich is the current Vice President of Sales, the current # 2 ranking executive in the agency.
Musich will assume command at a very challenging, critical tipping point in Atlantic City history.
Visit Atlantic City has been highly successful in selling Atlantic City as a world-class destination resort.
The current Atlantic City governmental administration has failed to provide the basic services required to present a safe and clean destination appearance.
it’s significantly hurting business.
Eric Scheffler is the executive director of the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, which oversees Visit Atlantic City.
Scheffler’s position also makes him the Chairman of Visit Atlantic City.
Scheffler and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Board formally accepted Sieg’s retirement plans today and approved Musich to succeed him upon Sieg’s departure.
We also know that Sieg’s announced retirement is that of his own choosing. Sieg definitely was not forced out from his position.
This smooth succession planning is a credit to Scheffler, the CRDA Board and everyone involved.
It was always Sieg’s plan to leave at this time.
Sieg has worked with the agency in positions of increasing responsibility since he joined the Atlantic City Convention and Visitor's Authority in March, 1998.
Musich is a qualified, solid choice. It also provides the least amount of disruption to the current Visit Atlantic City team members.
Sieg is a great team player and consensus builder. He has a great knowledge of tourism related attractions and all industries within the Greater Atlantic City region and all over the country.
Musich has big shoes to fill.
