An accident on Camden's Battleship New Jersey happened Tuesday causing a volunteer worker to suffer a head injury.

The 70-year-old man was reportedly surveying lights below deck on the Battleship approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday morning when he slipped and fell.

Although the volunteer did hit his head, he did not suffer a serious head wound, according to a Battleship New Jersey spokesperson and Courier Post, and at no time did he lose consciousness.

However, per protocol and because the accident occurred below-deck, at the base of the ship's 16-inch gun turrets, Camden Fire Department was called to the vessel to assist.
