Atlantic City Police say a man who was wanted on several active warrants was arrested after a short stand-off inside a casino hotel room.

Cops say 24-year-old Darrick Mallory of Atlantic City was arrested Wednesday at Bally's.

According to authorities, the ACPD in a cooperative effort with the FBI locating Mallory who was wanted in reference to several fugitives from justice warrants.

Information led detectives to a hotel room inside Bally’s Hotel and Casino. Mallory was located inside the room and initially refused to surrender. After twenty minutes, he surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. During a search of the hotel room, detectives located a loaded handgun and marijuana.

Mallory was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), and fugitive from justice warrants. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
