Mays Landing, N.J. — An Ocean County man has pleaded guilty to five drug possession charges stemming from five separate arrests across Atlantic County over 18 months.

55-year-old William Hall of Waretown entered his plea last Wednesday; his agreement calls for a recommended four-year state prison sentence.

Five Arrests, Five Charges

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office:

March 30, 2024: Egg Harbor Township police were called to the Black Horse Pike after reports of a man riding a bicycle through a Chick-fil-A drive-thru, talking to himself and screaming. Officers found Hall appearing highly intoxicated, barely able to keep his eyes open. A search following his arrest on an active Atlantic City warrant turned up several wax folds of heroin and fentanyl and a capsule containing methamphetamine.

September 17, 2024: Atlantic City police found Hall sleeping behind an abandoned information center, violating a city ordinance. Officers discovered he had an active warrant and placed him in custody. A wax fold containing heroin and fentanyl was found on his person.

March 20, 2025: Atlantic City police identified Hall while responding to a criminal investigation. He had two active warrants. After taking him into custody, officers found a makeshift crack pipe, two metal sheets, and a wax fold containing heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine.

April 17, 2025: Officers recognized Hall, confirmed an active warrant, and placed him under arrest. A search turned up a wax fold containing heroin and fentanyl.

September 20, 2025: Atlantic City police found Hall slumped over in an alleyway behind dumpsters, a wax fold and a small metal container resting on his lap. Upon taking him into custody, officers found three wax folds of fentanyl and a bag of methamphetamine on his person.

Sentencing is scheduled for later next month.
