Wawa to Prohibit Access to Self-serve Areas of Stores

Wawa is the next chain making adjustments to operations in an attempt to curb the outbreak of COVID-19.

According to a release from the company, effective 5AM Friday, Wawa customers will not be able to serve themselves coffee. Instead, Wawa employees will serve the public.

As an additional safety measure, all self-service fountain beverages, Icee drinks, cappuccino, and iced coffee areas are closed to customers.

Finally, those looking to grab a bakery item must have a Wawa team member bag them.

For the health of employees and customers, Wawa will close all stores from 2AM to 3AM for deep cleaning. Crews will spend that time restocking stores.
