What A President Trump Endorsement Would Mean for NJ Governor [Opinion]
It remains completely unknown, whether or not United States President Donald Trump will make an endorsement in the Republican Primary election for Governor of New Jersey.
The election will take place on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Challenger Bill Spadea wants it and desperately needs it.
The prohibitive front-runner, Jack Ciattarelli doesn’t need it to win … but, he would love to have it … just like Jalen Hurts’ “The Dagger” touchdown bomb to wide receiver DaVonta Smith in the Super Bowl … should President Trump endorse Ciattarelli … the game is over.
In truth, the game is already over. Spadea is so far behind (Ciattarelli) that a President Trump endorsement would only result in Spadea losing by less … but, still losing to Ciattarelli in the end.
President Trump endorsed Christine Serrano Glassner in last year’s Republican Primary election for United States Senator for New Jersey.
Despite winning a coveted President Trump endorsement, Glassner lost to Curtis Bashaw by a wide margin.
President Trump is a winner and he doesn’t like to back a “loser,” ever.
I just don’t see President Trump endorsing back-to-back losers in statewide elections in New Jersey. It’s just not in his winning makeup to do that.
There are really only three choices in New Jersey for President Trump to select from in the upcoming Republican Primary election for Governor of New Jersey,
1. Endorse Ciattarelli (best option).
2. Endorse no one (2nd best option).
3. Endorse Spadea (worst option).
It is also important for someone to let The President know how hyper negative that Bill Spadea has been toward President Trump.
Here are a few examples:
On July 13, 2021, Spadea publicly stated about President Trump:
I've said this before, President Trump failed. I do not want him to run again, said Spadea.
On January 14, 2021, Spadea publicly said these terrible things about President Trump:
He's beaten. He's tired. He would have been better off resigning the office ... Pray that we eventually elect a president with the strength, courage and commitment to the Constitution and the American way of life to ignore the polls, the optics and the haters and be tough enough to fight, said Spadea.
These are particularly harsh words about President Trump from Spadea, as Trump was leaving office (Spadea thought Trump was leaving forever) in just 6 days.
They are cowardly words, that were said only after President Trump had lost The Presidency.
President Trump is one of the most forgiving men that I have ever known.
However, Spadea has long ago crossed the rubicon with President Trump with his harsh, unsupportive public commentaries.
If President Trump wants to back a winner in New Jersey for Governor, the only choice is Jack Ciaterrelli.
Below, is Jack Ciattarelli with President Trump at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, sharing time together, yesterday.
Here is Ciattarelli, with President Trump and Elon Musk from yesterday. This is something that I have known about President Trump for 40 years. Look how President Trump is paying attention to someone (Ciattarelli) when he is talking to them.
Here is Ciattarelli with Don Purdy, Atlantic County Republican Chairman.
New Jersey holds a special place in President Trump‘s heart. Below, are great photos of President Trump in Wildwood, New Jersey.
