White House Lawsuit Has Been Filed In Newark, New Jersey Federal Court
The federal lawsuit against the state of New Jersey claims that the “New Jersey Law Enforcement Officer Protection Act” is an unconstitutional act by a state against the federal government.
NOTE: In February, 2026, a Federal Judge struck down a similar law in the state of California.

New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport
Is defending the New Jersey Law, saying:
To this day, the federal government still cannot explain when its officials need to mask or forgo identification in violation of this law, or why they actually need to do so, particularly given the serious safety concerns inherent in anomalous policing, said Davenport in a prepared statement.
