Winslow Twp. To Face National Power IMG Academy in Ocean City
Earlier this week the Battle at the Beach football event announced that Millville would take on Rancocas Valley at Ocean City High School on Thursday, Aug. 28.
After announcing New Jersey’s No. 1 team will face the No. 1 team from Illinois on Friday, the event announced its third matchup for 2025.
The New Jersey Group IV Champion, Winslow Twp., will take on National Power IMG Academy.
IMG had made a couple of visits to Ocean City to play in the event but will take on a South Jersey school this time.
Winslow Twp. went 14-0 last season, including a 21-0 win over Montclair at the Battle at the Beach event.
The Eagles are very talented, returning QB Jalen Parker who threw for 2,916 yards and 43 TDs. The Eagles' top three rushers all return as do wide receivers Nyqir Helton and NaKeem Powell.
On defense, Rob Carstarphen and Ben Carter are two of the top defensive lineman in South Jersey.
IMG is a National Power, but is no stranger to the event, defeating Bergen Catholic 27-14 last year. They defeated Philadelphia’s St. Joseph Prep in the 2023 event 17-14 in a game aired on ESPN.
