As I type this, I just got back from running out for lunch and in the span of two whole minutes, I found myself yelling expletives at two different drivers from Pennsylvania.

Yes, 'tis the season, my friends... summertime is here and that means those of us in New Jersey will be welcoming with open arms all of our friends and relatives from neighboring states.

For the next few months, our beaches and boardwalks will be jammed along with all of our roads, parking lots, and restaurants.

And while we want those spending some time relaxing at the Jersey Shore to have lots of fun (spend lots of money) and enjoy all that our state has to offer (spend lots of money), we have one request.

Please stop pooping on our beaches.

No, seriously. I'm not making that up. Enough with the poop.

Shoobies & Bennies in NJ

I was scrolling through Facebook recently and I stumbled upon a Shoobies group that is all about us South Jersey folks opining about our friends from Pennsylvania and New York (and you too, Delaware -- don't just sit there looking all innocent because you're small). There, someone asked what the worst thing you have ever seen a shoobie do at the beach.

Needless to say, the replies were voluminous. And a lot of them involved poop (think of that the next time you're digging for seashells).

Now, this was a shoobie-specific conversation, but I've seen our friends from the other end of the great Garden State complaining about bennies doing the same stuff, so you can consider this a universal list of gripes.

If you're a local, how many of these crimes have you witnessed?
