Wow, Indicted Atlantic City Schools Boss Gives Herself an Award

First and foremost, our sincere congratulations to all of the hard-working Atlantic City, New Jersey public schools employees.

You came to school every day during the previous school year and you earned the perfect attendance award for the 2023-2024 school year.

This meant that you went to work even when you didn’t feel well. It’s to your credit.

It is regrettable that La’Quetta Small, superintendent for the Atlantic City Public Schools is drawing attention away from you.

You deserve better.

The tone deaf La’Quetta Small included herself on the list of full-time district employees who achieved the perfect attendance award.

In light of her current indicted status on child abuse charges, that really takes chutzpah.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed the following:

On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Marty Small, Sr., 50, and his wife, La'Quetta Small, 47, of Atlantic City, NJ were both indicted for second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Marty Small, Sr. was also indicted for third-degree Terroristic Threats, and third-degree Aggravated Assault.

Wouldn’t you think that someone like this would want to fly under the radar screen and not shine the spotlight on themself?

A special legal counsel, hired by the Atlantic City Board of Education was paid by the taxpayers of Atlantic City for his expert advice.

The lawyer recommended that La’Quetta Small should be suspended because of the child abuse criminal charges.

The Atlantic City Board of Education ignored this recommendation.

Miraculously, La’Quetta Small has remained in her position and has direct staff and pupil contact to this day.

And, to add insult to injury … La’Quetta Small has given herself the perfect attendance award.

You can’t make this stuff up.
