Last Saturday, March 16, 2024 was Tony Orlando’s final Atlantic City, New Jersey live performance.

It took place at Resorts Casino Hotel, in the iconic Super Star Theater.

It was the penultimate live performance of Tony Orlando’s legendary 64 year career. It was extraordinary.

Last evening, Saturday, March 22, 2024, Tony Orlando brought the house down at a completely sold out The Mohegan Sun Arena.

Tom Cantone, President of Sports & Entertainment at Mohegan Sun Gaming outdid even himself.

Last evening in Connecticut featured appearances by one major star after another.

The evening also featured a reunion with the legendary group Tony Orlando and Dawn.

It was a powerful moment of the show when Tony Orlando, Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent performed all of their mega hits including:

  • Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around The Ole Oak Tree.
  • Candida.
  • Knock Three Times.
  • Say has anybody seen my Sweet Gypsy Rose.

At one point during the show, Tony Orlando said, “It’s like we never left.”

I Asked Tom Cantone, the author of “Book ‘Em,” if this was the biggest show that he’s ever put together.

Tom Cantone entirely credited his team and said, “yes, it is.”

To back Cantone up about this pronouncement, here is the list of stars that appeared at The Mohegan Sun Arena live and on the Jumbotron.

Tony Orlando teased in both Atlantic City, and in Connecticut that he wanted to break Bruce Springsteen‘s three hour and two minute New Jersey concert time record.

Both the Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun shows came in at just under 3 hours.

Tony Orlando didn’t want to see either show end … and, the audience at both locations felt exactly the same way.

In less than two weeks, on April 3, 2024, Tony Orlando will be 80 years old, however, he demonstrated the energy of someone many decades his junior in both Atlantic City and Connecticut over just 6 days between the two lengthy performances.

I took hours of video and these photographs from The Mohegan Sun Arena.

Congratulations to Tony Orlando on 64 years of live concert performances.

Tony Orlando made it clear that he will still be performing … to help United States military causes and other charitable organizations.

However, unless he changes his mind … last night was the final live performance of Tony Orlando’s illustrious career.

Thanks to Tom Cantone … Tony Orlando went out in prolific style.
