Find Out New Jersey’s Interesting Ties to the Big Game
The countdown is on to one of the biggest sporting events of the year, the Super Bowl.
And even though none of our local teams will be playing, New Jersey will still be well represented thanks to a couple of players playing in the Big Game.
New England Patriots
Our New Jersey tie to this team comes from Sayerville's Mohamed Sanu. Sanu's football days began at South Brunswick High and like Logan Ryan, continued through his time at Rutgers University.
See? Super Bowl 51 won't be a total loss for New Jersey football fans. There's a total of 13 players and coaches who have connections to the Garden State, including the Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn who is from Morristown, Patriots Defenseman Devin McCourty who played for St. Joe's in Montvale, and Patriots Wide Receiver Chris Hogan who played ball at Monmouth University.
Either way New Jersey wins the Big Game, right? So, which team will you be rooting for on February 5th?
