Two people suffered minor injuries, and one person was arrested, following a two car crash late Tuesday night in Hamilton Township.

Around 10:30 Tuesday night, officers responded to a crash at the Black Horse Pike and Cologne Avenue in Hamilton Township. A preliminary investigation revealed a car driven by 22-year-old Irene K. Trinh of Mays Landing was traveling eastbound on the Black Horse Pike when a 1976 MG, being driven by 73-year-old Kenneth Jimerson of Port Deposit, MD, was traveling southbound on Cologne Avenue and failed to observe the traffic light, causing both vehicles to collide in the intersection.

Jimerson sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to ARMC-City for treatment. Jimerson was charged with driving under the influence and other related motor vehicle offenses. Trinh sustained a minor injury and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Traffic was diverted around the area for approximately one hour while the accident was investigated and the scene was cleared.
