Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of Man in Camden, NJ

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Camden Thursday night.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of the 1000 block of Liberty Street in Camden around 9:00.

Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from gunshot wounds on the 900 block of Mechanic Street.

Officers transported the victim, 36-year-old Julian Dickerson of Camden, to Cooper University Hospital where he died from his injuries minutes later.

The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing at this time.
