Due to overcrowding at animal shelters in Louisiana following last month's devastating storm flooding, many dogs have been transported to Camden County and are in need of loving homes.

In case you missed the memo (and don't worry it seems most people have), Louisiana is currently dealing with the aftermath of what some are calling the worst natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy. (If that doesn't give you a sense of the tragedy, nothing will.)

Three Louisiana congressman who are requesting federal funds in the wake of devastating flooding there this month are being taken to task for having voted against federal aid for New Jersey and New York after superstorm Sandy.

Inspired by the help New Jersey got after Superstorm Sandy, some Red Cross New Jersey volunteers are paying it forward by helping with relief efforts in Louisiana.

One suspect is dead. Two remain at large.
