21-year-old Man Fatally Shot in Atlantic City Tuesday Evening

Not even 24 hours into the new year and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in Atlantic City.

The prosecutor's office says Atlantic City Police received a 911 call around 6:30 Tuesday evening for the report of an accident at Lincoln and Ohio Avenues in the city. When officers arrived, a man who had been shot was found inside a vehicle after it rolled through the intersection and stopped in the road.

Efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cops say the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and an autopsy will be performed Wednesday.
