Authorities continue to investigate the death of a 29-year-old woman in Atlantic City.

Janessa L. Morgan of Atlantic City, NJ, Unresponsive

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, just after 10:00 on the morning of Wednesday, June 5th, officers were asked to perform a welfare check at a second-story apartment at 3 South Raleigh Avenue.

Inside, they found 29-year-old Janessa L. Morgan unresponsive with no pulse.

A pronouncement nurse pronounced Morgan dead at the scene.

The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy by the South Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

This incident continues to be investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
