I want to take this opportunity to thank my employer, Townsquare Media and my boss Michael Ruble, President of Townsquare Media South Jersey for the opportunity to be a talk radio show host for 30 years, today.

Along with my employer and boss … my sincere thanks and appreciation to our loyal listeners and advertisers, many of whom have been with us for so many decades.

It is the most consequential period in our lifetime to be a daily part of the spoken word format.

I also want to thank Michael Harrison, Founder & Publisher of Talkers Magazine, “The Bible of Talk Radio and the new Talk Media.”

Michael Harrison has been such a generous mentor and is largely responsible for the national attention that our work and career have received.

I’m also pleased and proud to announce that the nationally syndicated “The Michael Harrison Wrap” debuts on WPG Talk Radio 95.5 this Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. ET.

The photo in the headline of this article, features an art sculpture likeness of me, created by Osman Karriem, the Chief Executive Officer of Amped TV Network and author of the supernatural thriller novel “The God Wraith Prophecy.”

Incredibly, the art sculpture is made out of aluminum foil. Osman had it delivered to our WPG Talk Radio 95.5 studios, in time for our 30th Anniversary as a talk radio show host.

“We have the Number 1 rated morning talk show, heard daily on the #1 most listened to news talk radio station in South Jersey, said Hurley.”

”None of this would be possible without the support of my family, Townsquare Media, (my Boss) President Michael Ruble, our listeners, advertisers, Michael Harrison and Fox News Radio for everything that they have done to make our career in talk radio possible,” said Hurley.

A profound thank you to my wife Margie (of 40 years). Margie’s unconditional support, whereby she supported my quitting a very comfortable executive position to pursue something (a passion), where the end result of whether it not we could succeed was very much in doubt when we launched “the “Hurley in the Morning” program.

It’s surreal that 30 years have somehow passed and here we still are … doing what we love to do … and, hopefully making a difference.

Along the way … this happened.

  • New Jersey Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame
  • Philadelphia Broadcasters Hall of Fame
  • Talkers Magazine Memorial Sharon L. Harrison Humanitarian of the Year (2016)
  • Member of The Talkers Magazine 100 Most Important Talk Radio Hosts in America (2015-2021) Currently ranked # 37.
  • Filling-in nationally for Fox News Radio.

How did this all happen? I have no idea.

This much I do know. None of this could have  happened without each of you.

Thank you for making it all possible.
