3 Arrested, 3 Guns Recovered After Police Investigation in Atlantic City, NJ
An investigation conducted by detectives with the Atlantic City Police Department resulted in the arrest of three people and the recovery of guns and drugs.
On Wednesday, the police work centered around a home on the 1300 block of Magellan Avenue.
According to the ACPD, "Dequay Belt, Keisha Belt and Damarice Bennett were arrested after detectives recovered three handguns, heroin, paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics, and US currency."
ARRESTED: 20-year-old Dequay Belt of Atlantic City
CHARGES: 2 counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and two counts of possession of a prohibited device
ARRESTED: 36-year-old Damarice Bennett of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, money laundering, and possession of CDS paraphernalia
Dequay Belt and Bennett were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
ARRESTED: 39-year-old Keisha Belt of Atlantic City
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, and money laundering
Keisha Belt was released on a summons with a future court date.
