39-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed By Car in Middle Township

A car pedestrian accident late Saturday night has claimed the life of a Wildwood man.

Middle Township Police say the accident happened just after 11:30pm at the intersection of Route 47 and 5th Street in Rio Grande.

According to police:

A preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian, identified as Frederick Dunn 39 years of age from Wildwood, NJ, was crossing Rt. 47 against the traffic light and outside of the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Kristen Arcos, 33 years of age from Hamilton, NJ.

Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
