Authorities in Atlantic City say they arrested five people following an investigation along Pacific Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Detectives were focused on the 2500 and 2600 blocks of Pacific Avenue after they received complaints about the distribution and possession of narcotics.

At 12:45 PM, Detectives Eric Evans, Alberto Valles and Christopher Dodson observed Kareem Wiley and Alyssa Bishop engaging in a drug transaction. The detectives converged and arrested both. Wiley was found in possession of 28 grams of cocaine and 135 bags of heroin. Bishop was found in possession of several Oxycodone pills and had several active warrants for her arrest.

About 45 minutes later, other detectives observed an alleged drug deal between three men.

John Bonds purchased cocaine from Daniel Smith as Nasir Donaldson stood by observing acting as a lookout. All three men were arrested, and all three were found in possession of cocaine.

Police say a K9 gave a positive identification for drugs in the vehicle Donaldson was driving.

The detectives say they recovered two handguns, one of which was stolen from Georgia. In total, more than 24 grams of cocaine was recovered.
