Health officials in Atlantic County announced seven more people have died as a result of COVID-19.

The announcement on Wednesday said all seven people has pre-existing health conditions.

The seven included an 87-year-old man and a 93-year-old woman from Pleasantville, an 88-year-old man from Absecon, an 81-year-old Galloway woman, an 85-year-old woman from Egg Harbor City, an 84-year-old Egg Harbor Township man, and a 42-year-old Hammonton man. Three of the individuals were residents of long-term care facilities.

50 more positive COVID-19 cases were also reported among 11 men (ages 16 to 94) and 39 women (ages 3 to 99).

Today's positive cases per town/township:
Pleasantville - 18
Atlantic City - 7
Galloway Township - 6
Egg Harbor Township, Hamilton Township - 4 each
Absecon, Somers Point - 3 each
Hammonton - 2
Egg Harbor City, Estell Manor, Margate City - 1 each

As of today, 2,147 county residents have tested positive for COVID-19 and 156 people have died., A total of 796 residents have been cleared as recovered.

Atlantic County will continue COVID-19 testing on Thursday at the county public works facility on Route 9 in Northfield. For a full list of qualifications and to make an appointment, visit the county's website.
