6ABC Meteorologist Melissa Magee Heads Back to the West Coast

After over a decade at the top-rated TV station in our region, Meteorologist Melissa Magee has left 6ABC.

WPVI-TV reports Magee is headed back to Los Angeles to be closer to her family.

"I really am going to miss you all and the Delaware Valley," she said during her farewell broadcast Sunday night.

According to WPVI, she was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA after majoring in English with a minor in French. Her career in television and weather has taken her from Bakersfield, CA, to Scottsbluff, NE, to AccuWeather in Pennsylvania, to New York City. She joined 6ABC in 2009 as a weekend meteorologist.
