7-year-old Bradley Bianchino has been recognized as a hero by both the New Jersey Assembly and the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders for his bravery.

On the morning of September 24th, 7-year-old Bradley Bianchino woke up, smelled smoke, got his mother up, and was able to get everyone out of their burning house, including two cats. The fire caused considerable damage to their home but no lives were lost due to Bradley's quick thinking.

Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton and Freeholder E. Marie Hayes presented Bradley with a certificate recognizing his bravery and heroism. Through a press release, Thornton said of Bradley,  “Cape May County is extremely proud of you and I am honored to meet you in person and present you with this certificate, signed by the Freeholder Board.” Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi, who's district includes Dennis Township, also presented Bradley with a New Jersey Assembly Proclamation recognizing his heroic efforts in saving his mother’s life and the other occupants in the home.
