83-year-old woman arrested for shoplifting in Hamilton Twp., NJ

An 83-year-old woman from Galloway who was charged for shoplifting was one of many arrests made by the Hamilton Township Police Department in the first half of August.

In total, officials say that answered 638 calls for service, made 23 arrests, made over 350 motor vehicle stops, and assisted in 17 EMS calls from August 1st through 15th.

Among those arrested were the following people:

• On August 1st, a 19-year-old woman from Newtonville was arrested by and charged with shoplifting

• On August 2nd, a 16-year-old man from Mays landing was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, obstruction, and simple assault

• On August 3rd, a 23-year-old man from Estell Manor was arrested on active warrants

• On August 4th, a 38-year-old man from Little Egg Harbor was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and active warrants

• On August 5th, a 56-year-old man from Egg Harbor City was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, shoplifting, and active warrants

• On August 6th, and 18-year-old woman from Millville was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, resisting arrest, obstruction, and shoplifting

• On August 6th, a 23-year-old man from Vineland was arrested and charged with contempt

• On August 6th, a 68-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with driving under the influence

• On August 7th, a 41-year-old man from Vineland was arrested and charged with driving under the influence

• On August 7th, a 16-year-old woman from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with simple assault and improper behavior

• On August 9th, a 45-year-old woman from Egg Harbor Township was arrested on active warrants

• On August 10th, a 55-year-old man from Hammonton was arrested and charged with driving under the influence

• On August 10th, a 28-year-old man from Somers Point was arrested and charged with driving under the influence

• On August 10th, an 83-year-old woman from Galloway was arrested and charged with shoplifting

• On August 10th, a 30-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with driving under the influence

• On August 11th, a 39-year-old man from Bridgeton was arrested for active warrants

• On August 11th, a 53-year-old man from Vineland was arrested and charged with driving under the influence

• On August 11th, a 34-year-old man from Bridgeton was arrested and charged with contempt

• On August 12th, a 25-year-old man from Linwood was arrested and charged with contempt

• On August 12th, a 28-year-old woman from Williamstown was arrested and charged with contempt

• On August 13th, an 18-year-old woman from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with shoplifting

• On August 13th, an 18-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with shoplifting

• On August 15th, a 19-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct
