Atlantic City, New Jersey activist Steve Young is leading a Monday, July 4, 2022 protest at the foot of The Atlantic City Expressway.

Young is asking for the public to support the seven African-American men who were arrested 2 years ago during the 4th of July holiday weekend for similar conduct as is planned, again for this upcoming Monday.

What: Rally for Justice

When: Monday, July 4, 2022

Time: 12:00 noon

Where: Foot of the Atlantic City Expressway at Baltic Avenue and Atlantic City Expressway, Atlantic City, New Jersey 08401

Young is referring to his group of men as “THE EXPRESSWAY 7- BLACK MEN ARRESTED 2 YEARS AGO FOR SUPPORTING Justice for George Floyd and Others Killed by Excessive Force and Rally about solutions in Education-Health-Criminal Justice-Wealth-Youth-Housing-Poverty,” said Young.

Young added, “WE’RE AGAINST SYSTEMIC RACISM-JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED … KEEP YOUR KNEE OFF OUR NECKS. IT’S NOW OR NEVER!
NO JUSTICE NO PEACE,” said Young.

Young is asking for people to join with them and bring their “signs, chairs and voices,” said Young.

Young further describes the upcoming event as a “rally for due process and against systemic racism.”

Atlantic City is really up against it this July 4th holiday weekend, as a potential major hotel casino employee strike (UNITE-HERE Local 54) still hangs in the balance.

If past is prologue, you can expect Young and his fellow members to block the traffic at the foot of the Atlantic City Expressway.

Young has always acted peacefully and you can expect the Atlantic City Police Department to promptly place Young and the others in their own zip tie handcuffs, whereby they will be placed in patrol cars and arrested.
