
Atlantic City Cops Arrest SC Man With Assault Rifle, Handgun
Atlantic City Police say information they obtained led to the arrest of a man from South Carolina who was attempting to sell an assault rifle.
According to a press release, an ACPD detective received information that a man was in possession of an assault rifle and attempting to sell it. Through his investigation, the man was identified as 42-year-old Larry Sypolt of Columbia, SC, and that he was at Ocean Casino Resort.
An officer located Sypolt in his vehicle in the Ocean Casino Resort self-park garage. Sypolt was arrested after detectives located a handgun and the rifle. Cops say the rifle contained a large capacity magazine, pistol grip, and a flash suppressor.
Sypolt was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of an assault rifle, and possession of a large capacity magazine. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
