Cops in Atlantic City say three men were arrested and a gun and drugs were recovered during a traffic stop Tuesday night in the city.

According to police, just before 11PM, two officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at Georgia and Pacific Avenues after they observing traffic infractions. Cops say the driver, 34-year-old Alon Rolls of Ocean City, could not provide a driver’s license due to suspension and he allegedly didn't know who owned the vehicle. During the stop, cops observed cocaine inside the vehicle, at which point Rolls and two other people, 37-year-old Markees Pruitt of Brooklyn and 31-year-old Jaime Cambrelen of Atco, were removed from the vehicle.

Officers recovered the cocaine and during a search located a loaded handgun, cocaine, heroin, oxycodone and ecstasy pills, paraphernalia used to distribute narcotics and additional ammunition.

All three men were arrested. Rolls was found in possession of cocaine. Pruitt was found in possession of heroin and marijuana. Pruitt and Cambrelen had active warrants for their arrest.

As a result of the stop, the officers recovered 165 grams of cocaine, 31 grams of unpackaged heroin, 21 bags of heroin, 30 grams of oxycodone pills, 45 grams of ecstasy pills, and 5.5 grams of marijuana.

Rolls was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, four counts each of possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS, and several traffic summons.

Pruitt was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, five counts of possession of CDS, four counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS, and contempt of court.

Cambrelen was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone, four counts each of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession with intent to distribute CDS, and contempt of court.

All three were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
