An Atlantic City man was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly stabbing his landlord during an altercation.

Cops in Atlantic City responded to a rooming house in the beach block of Ocean Avenue around 3PM Monday for a report of a stabbing. They arrived to find a 63-year-old man from Atlantic City, who is the landlord for the building, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers were told that the suspect, 42-year-old Roland Rymarz, was still inside the building; he was arrested without incident and the knife used in the attack was recovered.

According to police, the victim confronted Rymarz after being told that he was lighting off fireworks inside the building. Rymarz grew agitated and stabbed the victim.

The landlord was taken to ARMC-City for treatment.

Rymarz was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
