Atlantic City Man Arrested for Handgun Possession

Atlantic City Police arrested a city man around lunchtime Saturday after he was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.

Officers say they stopped 29-year-old Michael Shepherd of Atlantic City in the 500 block of Melrose Avenue just before 1:00 Saturday. Cops found Shepherd with a loaded gun and he was taken into custody without incident.

Shepherd was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
