Atlantic City Mayor Small Will Make Big Trump Plaza Announcement

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small will be making a major announcement tomorrow (Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 12:00 noon) about the former and long idle Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.

We broke the story right here years ago that Trump Plaza would be closing.

We have long advocated for the hotel/casino and second tower to be torn down, however, to leave the parking garage in place and have the city manage it.

The exact purpose of tomorrow’s Mayoral announcement is being guarded closely.

In the final days of Trump Plaza, the remaining working marquee lights read “U Laza” and not Trump Plaza.

The once dominant Centerpiece of the Atlantic City Boardwalk and gaming industry had fallen in significant disrepair.
