Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Arrest 3 and Recover Handgun
The Atlantic City Police Department has been keenly focused on taking both bad guys and guns off of the streets of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Here is a recap of their latest successful efforts:
On September 18, 2024, at 1:11 AM, Officer John Bell conducted a motor vehicle stop at New York and Adriatic Avenues. While Officer Bell was speaking with the driver, Dillan Dwomo, the passenger, a 16-year-old male, opened his door. This allowed Officer Bell to see a handgun holster and a satchel on the floor of the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were all removed. A loaded handgun was found in the satchel. Dwomo, the juvenile, and Dashawn Braxton were all placed in custody without incident, said the Atlantic City Police Department.
ARRESTED: Dillan Dwomo, 20, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a handgun under 21.
ARRESTED: Dashawn Braxton, 18, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a handgun under 21.
Dwomo and Braxton were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
ARRESTED: A 16-year old juvenile male from Pleasantville, NJ.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a handgun under 21.
The juvenile was released to a parent with a future court date.
