Man Dies After Apparent Self-inflicted Gunshot in Atlantic City
A 40-year-old man has died after apparently shooting himself Tuesday morning in Atlantic City.
The Atlantic City Police Department says that at about 6:40, their officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Connecticut Avenue in reference to a ShotSpotter alert that detected multiple gunshots.
Arriving officers located a 40-year-old man from Atlantic City who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigation Confirms Self-Inflicted Shooting
An investigation led by detectives with the ACPD's Violent Crimes Unit determined the shooting was self-inflicted.
