Atlantic City, NJ Chef In Search of New York City’s Best Pizza
Award-winning Atlantic City, New Jersey area Executive Pastry Chef Michael Dangelo went in search for the best pizza in New York City, New York.
Dangelo took to his social media Facebook page and received the following responses:
Kim Bender says it’s SottoCasa Pizzeria, located at 298 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. This fine establishment offers a “state-of-the-art Neapolitan pizza, using a century old technique.”
Sottocasa also has a second Harlem, New York store.
Matthew Bloch wrote, “I love John's on Bleeker St. Best in NYC. Coal fire pizza at its best. Plus Murray's Cheese shop is right across the street. Trust the Native Nyer on this. I also like Two Boots but that's when I want different pizza.”
Bloch also offered, “Joe's is second then Patsys. The other ones are in BKLYN.”
Rich Keen suggests the following area for pizza and burgers. “39th st and 9th ave and a couple doors down towards 38 is a good burger spot. Catty corner is a good spice shop with Greek stuff.”
Lids Sanchez says … “Not best, but it’s legit. Detroit style, Lions & Tigers & Squares. Everyone has an opinion, no one is right. It's up to you, but on your way home stop Star Tavern you wont be disappointed.”
The Atlantic City and Cape May New Jersey areas have also earned a great reputation for offering outstanding pizza.
If you missed it, here are two articles that fairly represent this fact.
