Atlantic City, NJ, Mayor Celebrates Amidst Criminal Charges
You almost have to give Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small credit.
Despite facing serious child abuse charges, along with his wife, La’Quetta Small … Marty lives up to one of his nicknames … “Party Marty.”
Marty held a party in New Orleans, when he took a group of Atlantic City area residents to the recent Philadelphia Eagles game.
The Eagles prevailed 15-12 back on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
Marty Small displayed jubilance before, during and after this special event.
Small also recently celebrated the occasion of his wife’s 48th Birthday last week with the following social media post:
I wanna wish my Wife Dr. La'Quetta Small a Happy 48th Birthday. We been together for 30 years...married for 17. 1 can't think of a better parent to my children or a better person to spend this life with. I wanna thank everyone who attended your Birthday Celebration in our yard...We were LIVE, LIT & OUTSIDE!! We had an amazing time celebrating you and our Support is AMAZING...We will get through this BS and come out stronger than ever...l love you and I hope you enjoyed your special day #teamsmall, wrote Small.
Perhaps no one has been able to put on a “better” face during times of personal and criminal crisis.
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, here is what Marty and La’Quetta Small are presently facing:
“On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Marty Small, Sr., 50, and his wife, La'Quetta Small, 47, of Atlantic City, NJ were both indicted for second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Marty Small, Sr. was also indicted for third-degree Terroristic Threats, and third-degree Aggravated Assault,” said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. If Marty and La’Quetta Small are convicted of these serious criminal charges, they will lose it all … their $ 400,000-plus per-year combined salaries and fringe benefits, their children and their freedom.
Yet, “Party Marty” continues to party on.
I don’t know whether to admire or pity that.
