Atlantic City, NJ, Man Charged For New Year’s Day Murder
An Atlantic City man has been charged in connection to a fatal stabbing on New Year's Day in the World's Play Ground.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says on Saturday, 23-year-old Gavin Guzman was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the death of 22-year-old Nazir Cintron.
Just after 7:30 on the morning of January 1st, officers with the Atlantic City Police Department were called to Michigan Avenue and the Boardwalk for a report of a man who had been stabbed.
The man, later identified, as Cintron, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities allege that Guzman stabbed Cintron in the chest.
This incident continues to be investigated by the Major Crimes Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Atlantic City Police Department.
