Parts Of The Atlantic City Boardwalk Will Be Torn-Up During Summer [Photos]
Summertime is definitely not the idea time to tear-up the World’s Famous Atlantic City Boardwalk — however, there is a fair and reasonable explanation.
Boardwalk Across From The Showboat Atlantic City
If you’re Bart Blatstein, you can’t be happy about the timing, however, the improvement will be tremendous.
In fact, in one section, there will be an additional 75 feet of boardwalk installed across from The Showboat Atlantic City.
It’s Not Only The Showboat That Will Be Impacted
Resorts Casino Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will also experience this inconvenience.
Why Now?
That’s the definitive question. Why would anyone tear the Boardwalk up during the Summer season.
Here’s Why!
It’s simple. Millions of dollars must be spent before the end of 2026.
It’s literally use it or lose it.

The City of Atlantic City & Mayor Marty Small
Before you criticize Mayor Small and the City of Atlantic City for this untimely project … remember, the property taxpayers of Atlantic City are about to experience the seventh consecutive year of a local purpose tax decrease under Small, which is unprecedented.
This happens by generating revenue, and by taking advantage of free money, that otherwise would have cost the taxpayers millions of dollars in bonded indebtedness… Or, it would be a vital project that would have been cost prohibitive to achieve.
Conclusion:
It will be inconvenient for a few weeks or months, however, the improvement will be significant and enjoyed for years to come.
In the end, it’s well worth the short time aggravation.
