In a “Hurley in the Morning” - WPG TalkRadio.com exclusive, we can confirm that Atlantic County Democratic Party Chairman Michael Suleiman has made some key decisions regarding ballot placement in the upcoming Atlantic City local elections for the upcoming primary election.

You can’t overstate how important this is ... Because in Atlantic City, the Primary Election winners will win the General Election, too. It’s almost automatic.

So, having the Regular Democratic Party column ballot placement is absolutely imperative.

In a wide ranging communication on this important topic, Suleiman has confirmed the following:

“The bylaws of the Atlantic County Democratic Committee require that our members “create and protect Democratic majorities at all levels of government.” Recently, under Craig Callaway, this is not the case in Atlantic City.

Mr. Callaway, a self-described “independent consultant,” aggressively garnered mail-in ballots for Trump-apologist Jeff Van Drew against Amy Kennedy last fall. He told Harry Hurley he campaigned for Republican Commissioner John Risley over Democrat Celeste Fernandez (who only lost by 381 votes). He calls Governor Murphy a “vicious racist.” He won’t support Democrats Vince Mazzeo and John Armato but said he might support Republican Don Guardian for Assembly.

Now, he’s been hired by Republican Senate candidate Vince Polistina to help the Republican legislative ticket get elected.

If Mr. Callaway truly wants to be an “independent consultant,” then he should register as “Unaffiliated” and work for whoever he wants to. However, he wants to control the Democratic Committee in Atlantic City while at the same time openly opposing Democratic candidates from Governor Murphy on down–all because of his “paid work.” Expecting me to support his hand-picked municipal candidates while he continues to work for Trump Republicans is laughable.

Therefore, I am putting Mayor Small and his Council slate on the Atlantic County Democratic Party line this upcoming June,” said Suleiman.

Some will take issue with The Chairman’s decision. I do not. Suleiman’s actions are defendable.

The placement of candidates on the election ballot is at the complete discretion of the County Party Chairman. Suleiman exercising his authority and not abusing it.

Clearly, Tom Foley will be displeased, as he is poised to win the endorsement of the Atlantic City Democratic Committee in the very near future.

Suleiman gave incumbent Mayor Marty Small the regular democratic line last year over Pam Fields, who won the local endorsement.

Here’s two more people who won’t be happy to read this article.

Incumbent Atlantic City Councilman Mo Delgado and Jeffree Faunleroy, will also not receive the Democratic line.

Instead, Suleiman will award the regular Democratic line to:

Marty Small - Mayor

Council President George Tibbitt - City Council

Stephenine Marshall - City Council

Bruce Weekes, Jr. - City Council

It will be very difficult for incumbents Delgado and Faunleroy to retain their seats off the line.

I have also confirmed that Craig Callaway will not be supporting Small, Tibbitt, Marshall and Weekes.

Today these parks are located throughout the country in 25 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The land encompassing them was either purchased or donated, though much of it had been inhabited by native people for thousands of years before the founding of the United States. These areas are protected and revered as educational resources about the natural world, and as spaces for exploration.
