Look What Atlantic County, NJ Just Did For 52-Year Employee

Jerry Del Rosso, the long-time Atlantic County, New Jersey Administrator retired on June 1, 2026, after 52 years as a public servant.

This is a high honor that has been bestowed upon Del Rosso by Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson and the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners.

It is difficult to find a more honest, hard-working and effective public servant than Jerry Del Rosso. He has been my county administrator since 2005. Jerry is highly respected inside and outside county government. We are all better as a result of his management and leadership. He has left an indelible mark and has contributed greatly to Atlantic County's success. In May, Del Rosso was recognized by the New Jersey Association of Counties with the County Administrator Lifetime Achievement Award at its annual conference in Atlantic City, for his lifelong and unwavering dedication to public service and for always being a kind, thoughtful, and resourceful gentleman, said Levinson.

Del Rosso's Career With Atlantic County Government

Del Rosso began his career with Atlantic County Government in the Department of Social Services in 1974.

Steadily, Del Rosso's rose through the ranks, ultimately becoming the top executive employee under County Executive Levinson.
