Frank Balles roared onto the Atlantic County political scene when he vanquished former Atlantic County Sheriff Jim McGettigan on November 4, 2008.

At that time, McGettigan was the most popular Democrat vote-getter in Atlantic County.

The highest level Atlantic County Republicans regularly told Balles that “you’re going to lose, but, it will be great experience for a future run.”

Balles didn’t listen to this unfriendly advice and went on to defeat McGettigan in an electoral landslide.

Balles defeated 5-term Sheriff McGettigan by a margin of of 55 percent to 45 percent.

Again, Balles won at-large. He simply wins every time he runs for any position.

if Atlantic County Republicans want to keep this seat — and win others — they need to run winning candidates at this critical tipping-point moment in time.

Balles has lived in Egg Harbor Township for most of his life and has been actively involved in the community in multiple positions.

I heard of the resignation of Will Pauls and felt it was my opportunity to return to what I feel matters most. With my past government experience, I believe that will help me contribute immediately and effectively to township governance. I am committed to serving all residents with integrity, responsiveness, and a practical focus on results. I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss my qualifications and vision for the township, said Balles.

  • I am a proven WINNER and have
    NAME ID COUNTYWIDE (Won in
    Obama election)
  • I can RUN AND WIN in 6 MONTHS
    (Special Election in November) and
    RUN again in 2027
  • I already have MONEY to RUN an
    ELECTION
  • I can HELP the ENTIRE ticket in November, this is going to be a tough cycle.
  • We cannot LOSE another seat to a
    Democrat

Objectively, you can’t argue with any of the points that Balles has made above.

The local-purpose tax rate will be increasing by 1.8 cents. If the Egg Harbor Township Committee did not apply almost 9 million dollars of taxpayer surplus funds for the $ 56.9 million budget … the property tax increase would have been massive.

This does that include the Egg Harbor Township School purpose tax increase.

Make no mistake about it, the Democrats will be using this fact in the upcoming General Election cycle.
