Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds’ Big Day In Trenton, NJ
Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds will travel to Trenton, New Jersey today and appear before all 40 State Senators.
It’s his confirmation day. The senators will be exercising their supreme role of advice and consent.
Rarely do you find the exact right person for a key position.
Reynolds brings all of the attributes and possesses the prerequisites for this important position.
Reynold's prosecutorial background includes extensive public service as a municipal prosecutor, featuring previous stints in these varied communities:
- Estell Manor
- Egg Harbor Township
- Galloway Township
- Somers Point
- Port Republic
- Conflict - Atlantic City
- Conflict - Northfield-Linwood
- Conflict - Hamilton Township
- Conflict - Absecon
- Conflict - Pleasantville
As Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor, Reynolds has been everywhere. He also has quickly earned the “buy-in” from his staff, which is always hard for the “new guy” to achieve.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s team has been making appearances all over the county at various community events.
Reynolds, himself has been known to spend 8-plus hours personally responding to a call. His staff has noticed his proactivity and willingness to roll up his sleeves and work alongside his team.
You also can’t overstate how important Senator Vince Polistina, R-2 has been during the nomination of Reynolds.
Polistina has forged a very positive and effective working relationship with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Chief of Staff George Helmy, and other Murphy administration staff.
It’s been built upon by demonstrating mutual respect and trust.
The initial lead candidate (Kim Holmes) for Atlantic County Prosecutor is a fine individual, however, not from Atlantic County.
Polistina spent many months negotiating behind the scenes to help win Reynolds’ nomination from Governor Murphy.
Polistina’s Senate colleagues should take a lesson from him. The art of successful negotiations comes from building a relationship and demonstrating that you are willing to cross the political aisle in the best interest of your citizens.
About Reynolds nomination, Polistina said:
Since taking office, a primary focus has been on the best possible candidate to assume the role of Atlantic County prosecutor. Every person I have spoken with regarding Will
Reynolds, regardless of party affiliation, has agreed that he is the best person to take on this position. Will (will) bring dignity and honor to the office, and I look forward to him assuming the role now with the Governor's nomination.
Will Reynolds previously told us, "I am most grateful to Governor Murphy for the trust and confidence he has placed in me.
“I am humbled by the incredible opportunity and the county-wide bipartisan support throughout the nomination process.
"I'll work tirelessly to protect the citizens of Atlantic County and to Do Justice for ALL. I can not wait to go to work," said Reynolds.
During a recent on-air interview with us, Reynolds thanked both Governor Murphy and Senator Polistina for their support.
I confidently predict that Reynolds will receive a unanimous 40-0 Senate confirmation vote in his favor, today.
