On Saturday, officials in Atlantic County said four more people have died from COVID.

The fatalities were all residents of long-term care facilities with pre-existing conditions -- two people were from Absecon, an 82-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man; a 68-year-old man from Egg Harbor Township; and a 73-year-old man from Hammonton.

36 new cases of COVID-19 were also reported among 18 men (ages 11 to 77) and 18 women (ages 19 to 98).

Today’s cases bring the countywide totals to 1,059 confirmed positives, 48 deaths, and 198 residents cleared as recovered.

Pleasantville - 8
Atlantic City - 6
Galloway Township, Hamilton Township, Hammonton - 5 each
Egg Harbor Township - 3
Folsom, Linwood, Margate City, and Weymouth Township - 1 each

Drive-thru testing will resume on Monday for those who were originally scheduled for last Thursday; that day's testing was canceled due to weather.
