A body that was found in a bay in Atlantic City Tuesday evening has tentatively been identified as that of man who went missing last November.

Just after 5:00 Tuesday evening, officers responded to the end of Arizona Avenue at the bay in Atlantic City for the report of a body that was found at the water’s edge.

Based upon the height, weight, and clothing, the body has been tentatively identified as Damon Malloy. Malloy was last seen on November 13th after cops responded to the 2300 block of Sheldon Avenue for a report of a man who was acting erratically after jumping out of a window of a house. As cops approached Malloy, he ran from them and jumped into the water off of Murray Avenue and swam away. Cops eventually lost sight of him in the water after he would not return to shore.

The medical examiner’s office is currently conducting forensic testing on the body. Malloy’s family has been notified.
