Bon Jovi Service Plaza on NJ’s Garden State Parkway Closes For Renovations
We regret to inform you that for the foreseeable future, you can't pee at Bon Jovi's place.
Or, for that matter, grab something to eat.
What will we do?!
Luckily, there are other nearby rest stops on the Garden State Parkway.
The Jon Bon Jovi Service Area, formerly the Cheesequake Service Plaza, on the Parkway at mile marker 124 in South Amboy has temporarily closed for renovations.
Dry County
Signs have recently been installed that alert drivers that there is no gas, no restrooms, and no food at the plaza that sports the name of one of New Jersey's favorite famous people.
Never Say Goodbye
The plaza's commuter parking lots remain open.
Do What You Can Do
For those traveling on the Parkway that may need a rest, northbound drivers can visit the nearest rest stops at mile markers 133 or 142; on the southbound side, you can stop at mile markers 100 or 75.
Wild in the Streets
Of course, Jersey being Jersey, you can find pretty much any type of restaurant and/or gas station off of any exit ramp if you are really in a pinch for food or fuel (or in need of a potty).
I'll Be There For You
Published reports say when the Bon Jovi Service area reopens sometime next year, you'll be able to enjoy a more modern building that features better food and drink options along with upgraded restrooms.
