A Bridgeton man has been sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a teenager in 2022.

The Cumberland County Prosecutor's office says in August 2022, 29-year-old Ulver Roblero Deleon was charged with the following:

  • Second-degree sexual assault
  • Third-degree endangering the welfare of a child
  • Fourth-degree criminal sexual contact
  • Second-degree robbery
  • Fourth-degree resisting by flight
  • Fourth-degree obstruction

According to authorities, the allegations stemmed from a domestic incident where Deleon allegedly took a victim’s cell phone by force. Upon further investigation, it was determined that he had previously been in a sexual relationship with the victim who was between the ages of 13 and 16.

On October 31st of last year, Deleon entered into a plea agreement and he pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

This past Thursday, he was sentenced to five years in state prison, he will be required to register under Megan's Law and will be under parole supervision for life.

The prosecution was represented by Cumberland County Assistant Prosecutor Holly Fanelle; the defendant was represented by Megan Helfrich, Esq., at sentencing.
