Cape May County Man Organizes Hurricane Michael Relief Drive
Cape May County resident Chris Chin is doing it again - helping people he doesn't know struck by a hurricane.
Just a couple weeks after he spearheaded collection efforts (and drove a truckload of supplies) targeting Hurricane Florence survivors in the Carolinas, Chin is focused on collecting supplies to help those in the Florida Panhandle area just hit by Hurricane Michael.
Items for the Hurricane Michael relief effort can be dropped off at one of these locations:
- United Uniforms - 1050 Route 47, Rio Grande
- iStorage - Sewell and Smithville locations
Suggested donation items include: Non perishable food, bottled water, diapers, formula, batteries, flashlights, personal hygiene items and clothing (must be new), etc. It's important to note that all clothing must be new. Dog food is also a great donation idea.
Once again, Chin intends to drive a truck into the relief area as soon as possible. To help cover the costs of truck rental, gas, tolls, etc, a GoFund Me page has been set up here.
